Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation made James W. McGill vice president for Eaton’s Asia/Pacific Region. He succeeds Donald H. Bullock, who is concluding his Asia/Pacific assignment and will return to the United States.

Eaton announced it has signed an agreement with Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation to purchase its Synflex business unit. The transaction, expected to close by the end of March, is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Terms were not disclosed.

Eaton Corporation announced that William W. Blausey Jr. has been named vice president, chief information officer. Blausey reports to Richard H. Fearon, executive vice president, chief financial and planning officer.

Sales in the quarter were a record $2.8 billion, 8 percent above the same period in 2004. Net income was $210 million compared to $183 million in 2004, an increase of 15 percent.

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced it completed its purchase of the industrial filtration business of Hayward Industries, Inc. Terms were not disclosed. Eaton announced plans to purchase the business on July 8.
